Itinerary

Day 1: Zanzibar – Tarangire National Park

You will take a morning domestic flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will be warmly met by our professional driver-guide and begin your safari to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is named after the Tarangire River, the main source of water for wildlife during the dry season. The park is characterized by vast savannah, ancient baobab trees, acacia woodlands, elephant grass, and lush groundwater forests. Tarangire is especially famous for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering along the riverbanks. Other wildlife commonly spotted includes giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hartebeest, buffalo, and a variety of predators such as lions and leopards.

Enjoy an extensive game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Accommodation: Marera Valley Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner, and drinking water

Day 2: Ndutu Area – Great Migration (Seasonal)

After breakfast, depart for the Ndutu Plains, located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Ndutu is renowned from December to March as the calving ground of the Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest give birth, attracting large numbers of predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The open plains, seasonal lakes, and woodland areas provide exceptional game viewing opportunities.

Spend the day on exciting game drives, enjoying close wildlife encounters and breathtaking landscapes. Later in the evening, proceed to your tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Sero Tented Camp
Meal Plan: Breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner, and drinking water

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Zanzibar

Start the day early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations.

The crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five. It offers one of the best chances to spot the rare black rhino, alongside lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and large numbers of hyenas. The diverse habitats within the crater — grasslands, swamps, forests, and lakes — create a truly unforgettable safari experience.

After a rewarding game drive and picnic lunch, ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha. You will then be transferred to Arusha Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, picnic lunch, and drinking water
